Chobe River - Botswana
The Chobe River separates Namibia from Botswana and is known as one of the best places in Africa to view the most wildlife and birds either along its shores or in its waters! If you are a photographer, birder or a lover of nature then this is a place for you to visit!
Our excursions along the Chobe River are in small boats to enable us to get up close to the mammals or birds either in the water or along the shores! I do suggest a cover for your camera as you may get closer to the action than hoped for!
Birds of all sorts - fish eagles, egrets, kingfishers catching their meals of fish, herons, storks, bee-eaters, Egyptian geese and even birds that walk on lily pads known as jacanas.
Mammals that graze on the banks are elephants, antelope, sable, lion, baboons, and warthogs to name just a few!
Boating along the Chobe River is an adrenaline filled experience that provides one of the best opportunities to photograph its birds and wildlife up close and to learn of their special characteristics.
After this experience you will be convinced that you "must" return once again.
