Arrived in Etosha at Namutoni area late afternoon and enjoyed a safari through the park.
The biggest thrill was a mom and her baby calf black rhino.
Today we saw the following:
A lion walking close to the road
A leopard in open field stalking a dik dik -the smallest African antelope. We waited patiently as leopard took his time and changed positions to sneak up behind the little dik dik. Finally a chase took place but the dik dik won!
We visited a waterhole and saw a parade of 30 elephants and very young babies march along to the waterhole.
At another waterhole a lion was crouched under the tree eyeing a zebra. Another chase ensued and the zebras ran away kicking up dust and lion gave up.
Other sightings: kudu, eland impala, steenbok, hyenas swimming and many birds!
That is all for now in hot Namibia of 39 degrees.
Cheers for now
